Outsiders together, Are you a "Crafty Housewife?" - Highlight from Bizzy Crochet interview.
It’s ok not to fit in. I myself and too “traditional “ for some folks and too “ offensive” for others. I used to try to hide these things about myself first just in my life and then later in my business. I named my silly little crafting business which I was never planning to grow this larger “ Crafty Housewife Yarns” kind of as a joke because I was tired of being treated like having an interest in these sorts of things and having kids and prioritizing my family time was somehow making me less than. Really owning that joke really helped me put a name to a stigma that pissed me off. Then as business grew I found myself once agian trying to people please but now it was though branding. I was trying to make myself and this brand be the crunchy, perfect, flowly , feel good vibe that everyone in the fiber arts seemed to respond to.
This ended up being a topic that was brought up on the Bizzy Crochet YouTube interview I was just a part of and I so enjoyed being about to have an honest laugh with Biz about living and working in the fiber arts.
Here is the first little highlight from this segment about how we got our name.
I so hope you will enjoy my web site and our online communities especially if you feel like you don’t always fit in everywhere.
I will be sharing more from this great chat soon.

Since 2016 I've been collecting a vault of info on the fiber arts. Most of this has been limited time exclusives or offered as bonuses for paid courses or material. I'm really excited to have the opportunity to have a permeant place for it to live here on my website as an ever growing resource for our favorite fiber besties. It's free just sign up to log in so you can be notified when new free content or opportunities are added in the future because you never know what will be next.
